ART OF WAR: Romanitas, 528-628, Justinian restores the Empire
COMPLETE GAME WITH PRE-CUT COUNTERS: ROMANITAS 528-628
Romanitas is a strategic-scale solitaire game simulating the history of the Eastern Roman Empire from 528 to 628 AD.
A counter represents a character or a combat unit of around 4,000 cavalry, 10,000 infantry or two hundred ships, with one game turn equal to ten years.
In the role of emperor, the player must strive to preserve the symbols of Romanity (the capital Constantinople, the emperor's power, the imperial provinces), confront barbarian and Persian threats on the frontiers, and avoid collapse in the face of economic hazards or proverbial religious quarrels. Finally, in the distance, the lands of the West beckon you to reconquer them, engaging your action a little more each time in a haunting struggle against destiny.
